New scans (PET/CT) to detect heart attack risk

Every day in the UK about 200 people die from a heart attack, and death rates from coronary heart disease in Scotland are among the highest in the country. The new test, developed by Dr Nik Joshi and a research team, combines scanning techniques known as positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT).  {read more here}
