Lung treatment backed to beat other cancers
April 22nd, in The Age National, Thomas O’Byrne reports on a novel lung cancer treatment utilizing PET/CT that may lead to treatment of other cancers. “A new treatment found to significantly improve long-term survival rates for sufferers of lung cancer could be used to help treat other forms of the disease, according to a prominent cancer researcher.” Further, “Professor Mac Manus’ research focused on the ongoing use of positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) scans to gather precise information about the structure and activity of a patient’s tumors.”
